Underage Report
Welcome to the Douglas GAA Underage
U14 footballers are city champions
The U14 Footballers won the City Championship at Cloughdubh on Thursday night to complete a remarkable treble. They added the City title to the County and Feile won earlier in the year.
This was a hard fought win over a tenacious St. Michael’s in a very tight low scoring game, the final score was 0-5 to 0-4.
The conditions certainly didn’t help the game with
a strong blustery wind making shooting difficult for both sides. Paul Fitzgerald scored a fine point in the closing minutes to give Douglas victory on the night.

Win for Under 14 Footballers
Douglas 4-8 St Michaels 3-11
This was a tough bruising encounter between a physically bigger St. Michaels side and a determined and committed Douglas side with nothing to separate the teams at full time.
Under 15 Footballers Draw with St. Michaels
The U15 fooballers drew with St. Michaels after a fine game of football in Mahon on Saturday 7th March.
These two teams never fail to deliver an exciting contest and Saturday was no different.
Douglas were under pressure from the start with a fired up Michaels team taking the game to them. Some excellent defending from Adrian O’Connell at Full Back and particularly Kevin Hayes Curtin at centre back kept Douglas in the Game. Mark McTighe in the goal put in a great hour with some solid fielding and excellent
kick outs.
Feile Footballers Advance
The U14 footballers got their Feile campaign underway with a win over Nemo Rangers at Douglas on Sunday.
Douglas got a great start when Shane McAuliffe finished to the net following a good passing move. The game remained close until a fine brace of goals from Cian Murphy on the stroke of half time but some daylight between the teams. Douglas maintained their lead throughout the second half. And goals from Daniel Savage and Mark O’Connor kept them out in front, despite some spirited resistance from a very game Nemo team.
