Douglas Camogie Club is all geared up for action for 2009: Our Club AGM was held on 18th December and the following officers were elected:

Douglas Camogie begin season with a win
26/04/09: Douglas 1-16 Ballygarvan 1-08
(Senior "A" Camogie League)
The first half was a low scoring affair with Douglas two points behind on a scoreline of 4 points to 1-3 at half-time. The Douglas defence had to be alert as Ballygarvan were playing with the aid of the wind. Jessica Cavanagh in goal made some good saves while Maura O’Donovan at full back was very capable and Sarah O’Regan made some vital interceptions. Catriona Mackey scoring 3 points (2 from frees) and the other point from Aileen O’Donovan.
Douglas win Camogie Féile Final
Douglas played Inniscara in the County Feile Final on Wednesday 6 May. From the start Douglas had the upper hand with successive points from Clare Shine(3), Aoife Downey(2) and a goal from Joy Leo which brouught the half time score to 1.5 to 0.1 to Douglas.

Douglas Camogie bid for Féile title
Best of luck to Douglas u14 camogie team in their quest for All-Ireland Féile honours this weekend (June 19th-21st). They will be hosted by and based in Burges, Co. Tipperary for the group stages.

Douglas Camogie win Féile title
The Douglas under 14 team travelled to Birr Co. Offaly to represent Cork in the Féile na nGael competition. Douglas met their old rivals St. Vincents in the final and after a keenly contested contest emerged victorious. Captain Aisling Fox accepted the cup on behalf of the Douglas team.
Douglas host Cork camogie teams home coming celebrations
Following their magnificent win over Kilkenny in Sunday's all-Ireland senior final, the Cork Camogie team were welcomed backed to Douglas G.A.A. Club on Monday night. The club was packed with well wishers as team captain Amanda O'Regan and her team mates paraded the O'Duffy cup.
Other prominent Douglas members among the Cork contingent were selector Mick O'Regan amd players Pamela Mackey, Katriona Mackey and Julia White. The celebrations culminated with a presentation of a bouquet of flowers to Mrs. Pauline Downey in recognition of her role in the foundation of Douglas Camogie Club.
Douglas advance to Camogie semi-final
Douglas defeated Cloughduv on Wednesday evening at Pairc uí Rinn by 4-10 to 0-11 to advance to a semi-final meeting with Milford in the Cork County Senior Camogie Championship. Maria Harkin was on song for Douglas scoring two goals while Julia White and Amanda O’Regan also found the net. The semi-final is fixed for next Monday evening.
Senior camogie team suffer league semi-final heartbreak
With the pitch on Castle Road unplayable due to poor weather, the league semi-final between Douglas and St. Catherine's was switched to Conna. Douglas played with the aid of the breeze in the opening half but were unable to capitalise and were two points down at the interval. Despite delivering an impressive second half performance Douglas were eclipsed on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-08. The Camogie players and management can now look forward to a well deserved winter break.
Douglas through to semi-final of senior camogie c'ship
In the Senior Camogie Championship Douglas beat Milford in Mallow on Wednesday 25th August on a scoreline of 1-11 to 2-05 reversing the heavy defeat suffered at the semi-final stage last year. Douglas will now play either Inniscarra or Cloughduv in the semi final. Jessica Kavanagh, Maria Harkin and the evergreen Amanda O'Regan (0.1) excelled while the ever reliable Katrina Mackey scored 8 points. Julia White (0.2) and Ailín O' Donovan (1.0) were the other scorers.
